So yesterday was the very first time Ariyana has been in a class environment, and not only was it her first time but it was also her first time with mommy walking away and leaving her in the class with the teacher.
A few months ago I knew I wanted to put Ariyana in a class to have her active as well as to get interaction with other kids and a teacher. I gave her the option between Soccer, Dance and Gymnastics..surprisingly she picked gymnastics. So in May I signed her up and the class started yesterday. So through out this time I have been preparing her for this big moment. letting her know that I will not be in the class, that she has to listen to the teacher, that if she has to go potty she needs to tell the teacher. well in the end it seems like I was really preparing myself. As we got out of the car I remember thinking man if Joe could see her now. He was always so amazed with her. I know he is looking down on us and watching her every step. She was so excited to get there and when we got into the class she took off her shoes like the teacher instructed and sat indian style listening to the teacher talk to the parents. When it came time for the class to start and the parents to leave I was semi heart broken that she was ready for me to leave (another sign my baby is growing up), but at the same time excited because she was not one of the 9 kids screaming for their mothers.
She did GREAT, and I knew all along she would. She came out of class telling us all about it, what she learned and how she stayed there all by herself without her mama (as she calls me). It was then that I knew I am doing the right things by my daughter and I am raising her to the best of my ability. Does this mean that I will not have doubts here and there of course not, but I have a well mannered, well behaved, beyond wonderful almost 4 year old. I got to peek through a paper taped to the door window and got a couple shots with my phone cam. I will def get more next week.

Never knew you were the "stalker" type....LMFAO! I don't know why you thought that child was anything but perfect and ready to take on the world! DUH she's my niece...hahahaa! No but really, unfortunately our daughter's are just too damned independent another reason why we need to watch what we wish for cuz we just might get it!
